Though, minor correction: Donal's wife is Aislinn. Deirdre is Niall's Erinnish mistress. There are like hundreds of characters at this point though, so it's understandable to mix them up.
But actually what delights me the most is the eye thing, and not for the obvious reason. But you'll see what I mean by the end of this book. :-D
