Said emptying occurring over the course of the Vessel's journey as the Chosen of Mana, which was filled with trials and suffering brought forth by the Desians, who turned out to be working for the Big Bad while he also oversaw the Church of Martel from the shadows as the head of an organization called Cruxis, where it was believed the Angels are from and where the Chosen eventually goes after his/her journey is complete.
Yes, Mithos started a religion around his older sister.
Anyway, for a moment, he did succeed in getting his sister back after loading her into the body of Female Lead Collette Brunel, however instead of getting a thank you... Martel basically called her little brother a dumbass, told him she didn't want this and promptly gave Colette her body back before Mithos lost his mind and decided "Fuck it, I'm ending the whole damn world with a meteor."
So yeah, hearing that Wolverton is playing this straight and Everynne basically dying anyway? Probably not good.
